Jai Hart was born In Seoul, Korea. She was adopted and raised in Boise, Idaho. She received her BFA degree from Kansas City Art Institute in MO. and her MFA from the School of Visual Arts in New York City.

Jai has recently exhibited at the Brattleboro Art Museum in Vermont, the Stone Art Gallery at Boston University, and the Women's Research Center at Brandeis University.

Hart has received artist grants, fellowships, and stipends from art organizations, including the Massachusetts Cultural Council, the Oregon Arts Commission, The New York Foundation for the Arts, and the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

Hart has attended residencies in Vermont, Maine, and Tennessee. She has also lived in several parts of the US, such as Idaho, Colorado, Michigan, Missouri, New York, Oregon, and Massachusetts. Jai Lives and works on the edges of Boston, MA.
